"Even this shall pass"

As I come to log this quote, I realise I must have misremembered it. In my head it has always been "Even this shall pass". I was going to attribute it to Anthony Robbins. Whether I read it in Unlimited Power, or Awaken The Giant Within, I couldn't say. Possibly neither as I can't find reference to it now.

He does seem to say, "This, too, shall pass", as part of a longer sentence talking about persistence and overcoming. Wikipedia has lots more info on that quote. But it seems to be suggesting something else. Like the impermanence of all things.

Personally I like "Even this shall pass", wherever it comes from. It says to me that even the worst situation imaginable eventually goes away and stops happening. "This, too, shall pass" could be a reminder that even good things are fleeting. Even this... has always reassured me when I have ever thought a situation might be forever and too much to bear.
